"Yoga has been an amazing vehicle for me to grow my energy emotionally and physically, and at the same time, it teaches me to draw upon my inner sense of calm. I can think of no better practice than yoga to initiate the sacred task of working towards wholeness."
Sharon, a graduate of Ekerd College with a bachelor's in creative writing, has experience with Vinyasa Flow yoga, restorative yoga, as well as fusion of Pilates and Yoga. She specializes in integrating Vinyasa Flow Ashana by linking movement with breath while teaching proper alignment. Working together in community to nurture the life-giving energy at the root of all your actions, feeling and thought. Sharon has certifications in 200RYT and Peak Pilates.
"Journey from Stretch to Pose"
Sharon is originally from Long Island New York. Her life revolved around intensive ballet training from the age of seven to twenty until a hip injury. Off to college she went to start a new journey of studying different styles of dance and excersie science. After graduation, she followed her family to Florida. She started a career with Shapes Total Fitness for Women where she has won awards for Group Fitness Manager of the Year, Personal Training Manager of the Year, and being in the Top 10 Grossing Trainers for ten years straight.
Currently, she is enjoying the less chaotic life as an independent contractor, teaching and training at various facilities and private homes. Outside of work, she loves boating, salsa dancing and volunteer dog walking/running.
"Be truthful, gentle, and fearless."
Angelica began practicing yoga in 2008. Throughout the years, her practice was on and off with all the ebbs and flows in life. In 2015, she found her passion for yoga again, through a Vinyasa yoga studio in Sarasota. Wanting to share the same health benefits, both physically and mentally, she decided to complete her 200hr YTT (Yoga Alliance) at Heartwood Retreat Center in Bradenton, FL. Inspired to dive deeper and deeper, she is currently enrolled in a 300hr YTT (Yoga Alliance) and will complete all 500 YTT hours in April 2017. She is a Reiki Master and also holds additional certifications in Aerial Yoga, Chair Yoga, and Restorative Yoga, and enjoys teaching a variety of classes. Angelica hopes to powerfully and passionately guide and inspire students to gain peace and fulfillment within themselves and explore their creative potential on and off the mat. Let your soul shine in one of her classes, workshops or full moon yoga events!

Ways to make the most out of your Yoga/Tai Chi experience:
Avoid eating right before your class, unless it’s a very light snack.
Avoid wearing perfumes as they can cause allergic reactions or discomfort for other students.
If this is your first time, we have some extra yoga mats available, but for extra joint comfort, please bring your own if you would like to double up. If you are unsure of what type of yoga mat is best for you, your instructor will be more than happy to make a suggestion. (There are affordable mats like Gaiam that are good. Jade is the best, but more expensive)
Bring a water bottle (and a hand towel if you think you’ll want one for sweat). Hydrate before, during and after.
Please arrive 5-15 minutes early (If you are late, please wait until 10 minutes into class to enter, after silent meditation)
Leave cell phones in car. If you must bring them in, please make sure that both ringtone and vibrate are off.
Enter mindfully, removing your shoes.
